About this resource

The CDHD manages a range of independent grant initiatives and conducts training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts across the country. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in outstanding activities in five key areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows aimed at leadership and direct service roles. *Direct Services and demonstration projects that encompass family and individual support, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance, integrated into all CDHD initiatives, focusing on individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policy makers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative concepts and effective practices, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the developmental disabilities sector. *Dissemination of information and research results to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policy makers, students, and volunteers. Language support is available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
