The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. This program investigates and assesses reported incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the child who has been abused. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
