Disability Action Center Northwest - Moscow

The Disability Action Center delivers advocacy, information, referral services, peer support, and training in independent living skills to individuals with disabilities and their communities. They provide resources on topics such as the ADA, fair housing, discrimination, independent living challenges, transportation, personal assistance, sign language interpretation, community services, coping strategies, Social Security, vocational rehabilitation, Medicare and Medicaid, and assistive technology for those with hearing difficulties. They also offer one month of free loans for devices that enhance sound and clarity in communication, applicable for telephones, personal conversations, television, and public speaking events. After one month, clients can apply for a grant. Services are available in English and American Sign Language. Intake procedures can be initiated by contacting the center.
