ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: Programs focus on the intersection of human health with the physical environment and the ecosystem. **Environmental Health Programs include: Day Care Health Inspections; Epidemiology (Animal Bites, Food and Water Borne Illness); Food Establishments (Permits, Plan Reviews, Inspections); Indoor Air Quality (Radon); Lead Health Program; Methamphetamine Labs; Public Pools; Solid Waste.** Land Development initiatives cover: Critical Materials Regulation; Mortgage Surveys; Non-Domestic Waste Water; Public Water Systems; Rathdrum Aquifer Protection; Shallow Injection Well Inventory; Subdivision Review; Subsurface Sewage (Site Evaluations, Permits, Inspections). IMMUNIZATIONS: Local health departments provide routine childhood vaccinations at health department clinics or special off-site events.
