The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services aimed at assisting families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their full potential. This program addresses both the developmental requirements of the child and the needs of the family to foster the child's growth. It is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and active participation in family routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
