The initiative focuses on leadership and advocacy for issues affecting older Idahoans, overseeing federally and state-funded programs aimed at helping them maintain their independence, safety, and dignity. **PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:** **Adult Protection** - Investigation and legal support. **Family Caregiver Support Program** - Provides assistance, information, respite, support, and supplemental services. **In-Home Services** - Includes case management, homemaker services, home-delivered meals, and caregiver respite. **Medicare Education** - Offers help in understanding Medicare and resolving billing issues, as well as assistance with enrollment. **Nutrition Services** - Features a directory of senior centers, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, and educational counseling. **Older Worker Programs** - Provides occupational training and work experience services. **Ombudsmen** - Advocates for elderly individuals in skilled nursing facilities. **Support Services** - Includes information and assistance, outreach, transportation, and adult day care. **Additional Programs & Services** - Telephone reassurance and shopping assistance. **KinCare Coalition** - Supports grandparents and other relatives who care for children during parental absence or neglect. **Alzheimer's information** is also available.
