The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it provides suitable services to address family requirements. This Program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. There is no charge for child protective services. Additionally, the Program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services.
