About this resource
Seniors aged 55 and above, who have received training, deliver companionship services at no cost to seniors or disabled adults who do not reside in assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Additionally, there are opportunities for volunteering.
Intake Process: Interested individuals can apply online or by phone to become either a client or a senior companion volunteer. All senior companion volunteers undergo background checks. For those looking to volunteer, an email inquiry is encouraged.
Compensation: Companions receive a stipend, mileage reimbursement, and various other benefits.
Who can use this
- Senior Companions: Must be at least 55 years old, possess a driver's license, and meet income criteria. Clients: Must not reside in assisted living or nursing facilities, with no age or income restrictions.
