The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. It offers necessary services to meet family needs when required. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It also assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. There are no fees associated with child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers this program, and services are available in English with interpreters accessible.
