The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program cater to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also providing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. Organized around multidisciplinary teams of therapists, the Idaho Infant Toddler Program aims to help children enhance their abilities to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which include court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
