The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a variety of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, as well as information on private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), helping families nurture their child's development to reach their full potential. This program employs multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and active participation in family life. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and development of community resources. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
