The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a variety of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family’s needs to foster the child's growth. It is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children improve their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and can access interpreters when necessary.
