Environmental Health programs tackle issues at the intersection of human health and the environment, covering areas such as daycare, epidemiology (animal bites, food and waterborne illnesses), food establishment permits, indoor air quality (including radon), lead health programs, methamphetamine lab inspections, public pool safety, and solid waste management. The Immunization Registry is a free, confidential service that helps individuals and their healthcare providers keep track of immunizations. The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Program offers monthly healthy food vouchers, health screenings, nutrition classes, community program information, referrals to healthcare providers, individual counseling from registered dietitians, breastfeeding support, recipes, newsletters, and educational materials. WIC serves pregnant women, breastfeeding women (up to one year postpartum), infants under one year, and children under five. The Women's Health Check program provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings to eligible women who lack insurance coverage for these tests, meet income guidelines, and fit specific age criteria.
