Area Agency On Aging - Twin Falls

The initiative provides leadership and advocacy on matters significant to older residents of Idaho. It oversees and manages federally and state-funded programs and services aimed at helping older individuals maintain their independence, safety, and dignity. The program includes information and referral services for seniors. **PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:** **Adult Protection** - Investigations and legal support. **Family Caregiver Support Program** - Offers assistance, information, respite, and supplemental services. **In-Home Services** - Includes case management, homemaker services, home-delivered meals, and caregiver respite. **Nutrition Services** - Provides a directory of Senior Centers, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, along with education and counseling. **Aging and Disability Resource Center** - Offers information and assistance regarding long-term care. **Ombudsmen** - Serve as advocates for the elderly in care facilities. **Support Services** - Include information and assistance, outreach, and transportation. **Grandparents as Parents Support Group** - Aids grandparents and other adults who take on parenting roles during the absence or neglect of parents. **Foster Grandparent Program** - Encourages volunteering in local schools. **Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)** - Engages senior volunteers in utilizing their skills to benefit their communities. **Senior Companion Program** - Supports seniors in helping other seniors maintain independence. The Idaho Commission on Aging ensures contract oversight for Area Agency on Aging offices. Available languages include English and Spanish.
