The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to meet family requirements. This Program reviews and determines cases of reported child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the Program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, under the administration of the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
