**SEASONAL PROGRAM FROM MAY TO NOV** Head Start is a nationwide preschool initiative designed for children from families that meet income eligibility criteria. Local nonprofit organizations operate Head Start centers across the country. * Applications are accepted for children aged 0 to 5 years. * Families whose income falls below the poverty threshold are eligible. * The program also welcomes children with special needs or those considered at high risk. *** A limited number of over-income children with special needs may be accepted. *** Services provided include assistance with medical, dental, educational, and social service needs, all at no cost. Families must provide verification of income, the child's birth date, and immunization records. Head Start Supportive Services include: * Social Services * Parent Involvement * Nutrition * Mental Health * Health * Education * Disabilities * Dental * Transportation. Head Start aims to enrich and strengthen the lives of children, families, staff, and the community, helping families navigate life's challenges through quality education and family-centered services. The program operates five days a week for 12 hours, providing four meals daily to children. Parental involvement is encouraged through volunteering, and positive parenting classes are offered to assist families with educational needs. Transportation is available, and services are provided in both English and Spanish.

Intake Procedure: Families can apply on-site if they have transportation; otherwise, staff will visit the homes of eligible families.
