About this resource
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), previously known as Food Stamps, assists low-income families in acquiring the food essential for maintaining their health. Eligible participants receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, which functions similarly to a debit card at grocery stores. This card accesses funds from a designated SNAP account for the family, allowing them to purchase approved food items. Benefits are restricted to eligible food purchases only. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
