The Cooperative Extension System at the University of Idaho plays a vital role in supporting the agricultural and rural sectors of Idaho through various services, programs, and research crucial for the state's progress. Among the offerings are: 4-H/Youth Development, Weed Control Programs, Parenting Programs, EFNEP (Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program), Garden/Landscape Management Programs, Youth at Risk Programs, Family Resource Management, Crops/Horticulture Programs, initiatives focused on launching or managing small businesses, Money Management/Household Budgeting, Life Skills, Water Quality Testing, Pesticide Applicator Training, and Food Preservation.
