About this resource

This initiative establishes a network of orthodontic partners to deliver vital orthodontic care, including braces, to low-income children aged 7-19 from families earning at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Intake Process: Interested individuals can call or visit the website to request an application or apply online, and they may also email for inquiries regarding the application process. Please note that calls should only be made during designated hours, as voicemails left outside these times cannot be returned. The website also features a Provider Directory to help locate treatment providers in the vicinity. After receiving the application, the applicant will be placed on a screening list until a program spot becomes available.

Fees: There is a nonrefundable application fee of $30. If accepted, the family is required to contribute $650 towards the cost of program participation.

Who can use this

Children aged 7-18 (applications must be submitted before the child's 19th birthday) who: maintain good oral hygiene, have no unfilled cavities, demonstrate a moderate to severe need for braces, are not currently wearing braces, and whose family meets the SCL financial criteria (which varies by location).
