The organization advocates for fair treatment and equal opportunities for all individuals in Nevada, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. It emphasizes the protection of youth by ensuring that laws are created and enacted to safeguard them, while also providing funding and resources to assist low-income families in helping their children achieve their aspirations. One of the initiatives includes establishing and maintaining gay-straight alliances to foster trust and open communication with allies, reinforcing the commitment to inclusivity and equality for everyone. Equality Nevada aims to amplify the social and political voice of the LGBTQ communities across the state, collaborating with leaders statewide in a deliberate, inclusive, diverse, and respectful manner. The organization strives to promote policies that protect LGBTQ rights, identify and mobilize LGBTQ leaders, volunteers, allies, and organizations, and endorse candidates who align with the community's diverse needs. Additionally, it offers leadership training, volunteer opportunities, and sponsorships to engage and expand the involvement of both the LGBTQ and straight ally communities in this advocacy.
