About this resource

This program provides support for an array of services including long-term care, adult group homes, assisted living, adult day health care, skilled nursing facilities, and independent intermediate care facilities. Eligibility for long-term care is assessed through a detailed evaluation of needs, based on specific criteria. Available languages include Spanish and English.

Intake Procedure: Requests for long-term care services can come from the community, family members, care facilities, hospitals, and other organizations familiar with potential cases, as well as individuals applying on their own. Applications may be submitted via email to AdultCareServices@ClarkCountyNV.Gov or in person/mailed to: Clark County Social Service Long Term Care/Homemaker Services, 1600 Pinto Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89106.

Who can use this

To qualify, applicants must submit a completed long-term care application or have an existing case with Clark County Social Service, demonstrate a medical need for long-term care, meet the necessary level of care criteria, and comply with income and resource eligibility standards as outlined in the Social Service Policy Manual. Financial guidelines dictate that a patient liability is determined based on the individual's income, and all other potential payment assistance programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or self-pay, must be explored before CCSS can authorize payment for long-term care.
