Spread The Word Nevada

This initiative delivers literacy support in school environments for children in PreK through 5th grade, as well as for low-income families with young readers aged from birth to 5 years. The Readers In Training program establishes a strong foundation for lifelong literacy through early interventions aimed at enhancing reading readiness. It provides various volunteer opportunities, including book cleaning and scanning at the warehouse, organizing book drives to gather donated books, mentoring students at a supported Mentor Center, and assisting with book distributions and family literacy programs. Donations of new and gently used books are welcomed at the office or through community drop-off bins listed on the website. Services are available in both Spanish and English.
