About this resource
This program provides peer mentorship aimed at assisting parents with ongoing child dependency cases through the Safe Babies Court in Washoe County or the DCFS in Carson City. Parent Partners, who have personal experiences in recovery and child welfare involvement, leverage their successful reunification journeys to support other parents. They mentor, guide, and advocate for these parents, demonstrating recovery and stability while collaborating closely with the Safe Babies Court team and other partners to facilitate progress in their cases. The program offers peer mentorship upon request from Safe Babies Court teams when they identify parents who could benefit from additional support. Available languages include English.

Who can use this
- Parents with an active child dependency case in Washoe County or Carson City/DCFS who are participating in Safe Babies Court.
