Nystart, Crisis Prevention And Response

This program delivers crisis prevention and response services tailored for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as those facing complex behavioral or mental health issues, along with support for their families and caregivers. The service includes a needs assessment to create a personalized crisis plan, suggests preventive measures and coping techniques for families and caregivers, and provides referrals to suitable agencies. It also offers short-term therapeutic support at home, emergency therapeutic services, and planned Resource Center services for enrolled clients. Additionally, the program extends consultation, training, and technical assistance to community partners and organizations.
