About this resource
The Office for Aging HEAP Unit accepts applications from individuals who are 60 years or older or from those who are disabled and receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or SSD (Social Security Disability), provided they do not participate in SNAP (food stamps) or Temporary Assistance. This program offers financial support for heating and cooling needs to low-income households.
Application Process: An application must be submitted.
Cost: No fees are involved.

- Residents of Broome County who are 60 years or older or disabled individuals receiving SSD and/or SSI, subject to income guidelines.
