Catholic Charities Of Broome County

This initiative provides a secure and nurturing environment for homeless or runaway youth between the ages of 16 and 21. It assists young individuals in developing essential life skills, boosting their confidence, and preparing for self-sufficiency through various services such as case management, educational and career guidance, counseling, and recreational activities. Participants acquire vital skills necessary for independent living, which encompass decision-making, financial management, and self-sufficiency. The program is offered at no cost, and all youth must seek temporary assistance through the Department of Social Services (DSS). Eligible participants include both males and females, including those who are pregnant or parenting, who fit the HUD definition of homelessness.

Intake Procedure: Interested youth must fill out a program application for residency, after which an interview with program staff will be arranged to assess eligibility.

Fees: No fees are required.
