About this resource
SLIP assists young individuals in their journey toward complete independence by providing support and resources. The program emphasizes personal responsibility and a hands-on approach to learning. Participants aged 16 to 21 live in subsidized apartments within the community, acquiring essential skills for self-sufficiency, health, and independence. Young adults can stay in the program until they turn 21. Additionally, the Mother-Baby SILP offers community services for young mothers and their children within the same supportive living framework as the main SILP program.
