About this resource
This program provides guidance for seniors and their families to help them steer clear of fraud and abuse. Educational speakers are available to inform the public on topics such as consumer fraud, scams targeting seniors, online safety, and civil and labor rights. If you suspect any neglect or abuse of nursing home residents, you can report it to the NYS Department of Health Nursing Home Complaint hotline at 888-201-4563 or the Attorney General's Office at 800-771-7755. There is also an option to report suspected abuse online via a form.
