Chautauqua Striders Tutoring

Provides tutoring services across multiple venues. On-Track Tutoring: This program offers small group (1:5 ratio) or individualized tutoring for students of all grades in Chautauqua County. SAFARI Program: Available at no cost for students attending Jamestown High School, allowing them to arrange small group and individual tutoring sessions during school hours. 21st Century/After School Program: Tutors deliver in-person academic support to students in grades K-8 within the Jamestown district at Love, Ring, Bush, Lincoln, and Fletcher Elementary Schools as well as Washington and Jefferson Middle Schools. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP): Managed by Jamestown Community College, this initiative aims to equip high school students for success in higher education or vocational training, specifically aiding the class of 2028 from Jamestown and Dunkirk in their transition to college. Services include complimentary tutoring during and after school, guidance in exploring tailored college and career options, and assistance with financial aid applications. SAT and Regents preparation is also available based on enrollment demand. Additionally, Striders tutors are accessible at the Boys & Girls Club after school from Monday to Thursday.

Fees: For On-Track Tutoring, a registration fee of $60 per semester ($120 for the entire year) is required. There are no extra charges for small group tutoring after the registration fee. However, one-to-one tutoring incurs an additional fee of $33 per session. For Summer One-to-One Tutoring, the registration fee is $25 with session fees also at $33.
