FOOD SENSE is a practical food purchasing initiative designed for individuals across all income levels. Participants can acquire a monthly food package by paying $20.50 at Rural Services early in the month, with the average package valued at $25. These packages, which include fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and other food items, are delivered at the end of the month. This program is available to anyone looking to maximize their food budget. Payments can be made via cash, check, or food stamps. If you consume food, you are eligible! Don't forget to bring a box or bag; during summer months, a cooler is recommended! Orders can be placed in person at Rural Services by calling 607-863-3828. Online orders are no longer accepted, so please call or visit to place your order. If using food stamps, we will need your card numbers before processing your first order, so feel free to call us or bring your card for assistance.
