PromisePay is an online platform that facilitates the repayment of utility balances, helping individuals achieve financial freedom. In collaboration with Buffalo Water, it provides flexible payment arrangements for overdue balances. Support may encompass discounts on future water and sewer bills, interest-free payment plans, and one-time grants or credits. Annual discounts available for low-income customers include $60 off sewer and $106 off water; for very low-income customers, $90 off sewer and $144 off water; and for senior citizens with Enhanced STAR tax exemption, $106 off sewer and 36% off the water bill. Income eligibility for low and very low-income categories is based on annual income as per Housing Urban Development (HUD) Income Limits.
