Early Childhood - Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center

The program provides in-home Early Intervention services for children aged 0-3 who have received a referral from the county. It also features full-day educational programs for children aged 3-7 facing significant challenges in speech/language, hearing, cognitive, and other developmental areas. Services are delivered in accordance with the child's IEP or IFSP, which may include speech language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, psychology, play therapy, and music therapy. Additionally, there is a full-day preschool and school-age program (K-2) for children diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Delay (PDD) or those showing related characteristics, employing the DIR Floortime approach. The Oral Deaf Education Program caters to children who are deaf or hard of hearing, focusing on a listening and spoken language methodology.

Intake Procedure: For Early Intervention, a referral from the county is required for children aged 0-3. For preschool, a referral from the local school district is necessary for children in grades K-2.

Fees: The cost of tuition is typically covered by county, state, and/or school district funding.
