About this resource
Housing Retention: This Medicaid-funded program aims to enhance housing stability by offering various services, including crisis intervention, mental health referrals, life skills training, conflict resolution, landlord mediation, and ongoing financial assistance. Housing Placement: A dedicated housing specialist helps HIV positive individuals find safe and secure housing while identifying potential funding sources. Emergency Financial Assistance: Financial support is available for HIV positive individuals to help secure safe housing and avoid eviction or utility shutoffs. Assistance for first month's rent, security deposits, overdue rent, and utility disconnection prevention is limited to once per eligible person within a 12-month timeframe. Rental Subsidy: Monthly rental assistance is provided, akin to Section 8 support.

Who can use this
- Housing Placement: Available in Erie & Niagara Counties. Other programs serve Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Erie, Niagara, Orleans, & Wyoming Counties. Must be living with HIV.
