Ssg Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program - Vosc

This initiative reaches out to Veterans who are identified as being at risk for suicide and conducts an initial mental health evaluation for those interested in the program. Eligible participants can access various services, such as coordination of emergency treatment, which covers initial costs if they continue receiving clinical care through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Additional support includes comprehensive case management, peer support, and help in securing VA benefits like vocational rehabilitation, employment training, educational support, housing assistance, and health care services. The program also assists with obtaining other public benefits for crisis-related needs, including health care, daily living services, legal aid, financial planning, credit counseling, and vocational services. Temporary income support, transportation assistance via public transport tokens, childcare payment for children under 13, and general suicide prevention stability assistance are also available. Moreover, it offers various mental health improvement services like adaptive sports, equine therapy, recreational therapy, substance use reduction programs, and counseling sessions. All financial aid is directed to third-party service providers rather than directly to veterans. ##Veteran##
