About this resource
This initiative features a centralized intake system for referrals to high-intensity mental health services for both children and adults diagnosed with serious mental illnesses that disrupt their ability to operate effectively in community, home, school, and/or work settings. The primary objectives of these mental health services are to enhance independence and elevate the quality of life. The SPOA aims to facilitate access to these high-intensity services, foster better collaboration among community service providers, and highlight community-based alternatives to residential treatment and psychiatric hospitalization.

Who can use this
- Children and youth aged birth to 17 living in Erie County who face significant risks of out-of-home placement, hospitalization, or severe emotional, social, educational, and/or behavioral issues.
