Ecc Dental Hygiene Clinic - Suny Erie

This dental hygiene clinic provides services to the community, where appointments are conducted by dental hygiene students under the guidance of faculty. Each session lasts around 3 hours to facilitate teaching, and multiple appointments may be necessary, incorporating a variety of services. Treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each patient, as assessed during the initial examination. Available free services include: dental cleaning (prophylaxis), advanced deep scaling and root planing, dental x-rays, intra/extra-oral cancer screening, nutritional and tobacco cessation counseling, home care instructions for gums and teeth, stain polishing, fluoride treatments (various), sealants, and recommendations for external follow-up care. Anesthesia is offered for patients with sensitivity issues.
