About this resource
This initiative delivers crisis intervention and support services for survivors of sexual assault and their families. The offerings encompass crisis intervention for survivors and their loved ones, a hotline, short-term counseling, assistance during medical examinations and treatment, advocacy during interactions with law enforcement, court accompaniment, individual consultations with professionals, community education initiatives, professional training opportunities, and referrals for further necessary services. Specifically in Wyoming County, it includes a combined Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence program that provides both Non-Shelter Domestic Violence Services and the aforementioned sexual assault services. The domestic violence services feature a hotline, counseling, court accompaniment, help with securing orders of protection, and referrals for safe housing.
