The Nutrition Program offered by the Greene County Department of Human Services enables seniors to stay self-sufficient in their residences while ensuring they have access to nutritious meals. Eligible individuals receive Home Delivered Meals, which are brought to them by volunteers from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, across Greene County. This initiative helps seniors enhance or sustain their nutrition, health, and overall quality of life while living at home. Each senior service center provides a noon meal that includes a hot entree, vegetables, fruit, bread and butter, low-fat milk, and dessert, with options available for those requiring diabetic or low-salt diets. Additionally, the Nutrition Education Program features a registered dietitian who offers personalized nutritional counseling to clients as needed.

Fees: A suggested voluntary contribution of $4.00 per meal is recommended.
