About this resource
The initiative provides financial aid for child care to assist qualifying families in affording quality services. It also extends payment support through approved providers during school closures for those not currently receiving subsidies. Families are required to submit the childcare application (6025 - accessible on the website) along with proof of employment for their application to be considered. Applications can be found on the Monroe County website and can be sent via email to dfa2a26.sm.monroe.ChildCare-DHS@dfa.state.ny.us or faxed to 585-753-6308.
Intake Procedure: Applications can be accessed on this website www2.monroecounty.gov/hs-daycare.php or can be requested by calling the appointment line. Completed applications should be returned to: Income Eligible Daycare Team, 111 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620. Families currently receiving Temporary Assistance are advised to continue coordinating with their case examiner.
Fees: The program covers a portion of child care expenses.
