About this resource
LICC provides free, anonymous, and confidential support for suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and referral services addressing various personal issues. They also offer online counseling from Monday to Friday between 7pm and 11pm, specifically for residents of Long Island. In addition, LICC runs other initiatives like PFY (formerly Pride for Youth), which serves LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults, a Runaway Hotline, and suicide outreach programs. They conduct Community Education workshops for schools, agencies, parents, and professionals on topics such as Suicide Prevention, Managing Emotions, Cyberbullying Awareness, Mental Health Discussions, Crisis Coping Strategies, Understanding Sexual Orientation, and Gender Awareness.
