Mobile Crisis Program

This program delivers on-site evaluations and crisis intervention for all residents of Nassau County, serving as an alternative to police action or as a supportive resource for law enforcement to help mitigate potential crises within the community. The team assesses the situation, examines the psychological state, functional capabilities, environment, and safety of individuals or families in distress. They make referrals to the most suitable treatment providers or facilities, utilizing all community resources available. Follow-ups are conducted on all referrals to ensure ongoing support. The mobile team is equipped to respond swiftly to individuals or families requiring crisis intervention at home or in various community settings. Team members travel throughout Nassau County to offer professional and empathetic crisis intervention for any child or adult facing emotional disturbances, interpersonal conflicts, or psychiatric emergencies.
