Hofstra University

This initiative is intended to promote student development and academic success. Enrichment services are available starting in grade 6 and continue through high school graduation, facilitating the transition to college and/or the workforce. Hofstra University, along with partner schools, coordinates a variety of enrichment services both on campus and at school locations. Partner schools offer counseling, mentoring, tutoring, goal-setting, college tours, career exploration, service learning, and additional resources, while Hofstra University provides academic assistance through the Saturday Scholars Academy, career exploration via the Summer Scholars Academy, and mentoring through the Transition to High School Program. Active participants can also attend the annual New York State Education Department Empire Leadership Summit. Parents and guardians are invited to participate in workshops, events, and the Parent Involvement in Education (PIE) committee, which supports student success.
