The service welcomes referrals for adults aged 18 and older who are reported to be unable to care for themselves due to physical or mental disabilities, or who are victims of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation, and have no one available to help them responsibly. Services may be offered at no cost, regardless of income. A caseworker will conduct a home visit within 24 hours for life-threatening situations and within three business days for non-life-threatening cases. Adult Protective Services employs a case management strategy to assess eligibility for counseling, financial management, and medical services.
