Mental Health Services - Niagara County Office For The Aging

This initiative is focused on assisting seniors in maintaining their safety within the community and promoting their well-being by linking them with various medical, behavioral health, and non-medical resources. The program consists of three key components: Aging Services access, which evaluates the aging-related needs that could threaten an older adult's ability to stay in the community and facilitates connections to vital services such as nutritional support, personal care, transportation, financial assistance, and social engagement. Behavioral Health access identifies mental health needs and helps individuals access necessary mental health or substance abuse services. Additionally, Mobile Outreach and off-site services are provided by the Older Adult Clinical Specialist, offering short-term in-home therapeutic support and assistance for those who are not connected to essential services or face challenges in accessing them.
