This service provides vital support and guidance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their preferences for independent living are acknowledged. Advocates are available to address inquiries and assist with applications for Social Security Disability, SSI, Temporary Assistance, HEAP, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and housing. They also help recipients of DSS comprehend sanctions and navigate the Fair Hearing process. Additional services include Peer Mentoring, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills training, Disability Awareness Education, and Transitional Services.
