This initiative delivers face-to-face crisis intervention and client stabilization services aimed at diverting non-lethal individuals from the county's psychiatric emergency departments while also assisting in finding, supporting, and linking individuals to mental health services. Services offered include a crisis hotline, mental health assessments, crisis de-escalation and debriefing, linkage and follow-up to services, alerts for those at increased risk, and coordination with schools, medical/mental health providers, and other agencies for effective crisis intervention and monitoring of at-risk clients. Additionally, it provides Open Access, a 24/7 response for individuals struggling with addiction, in collaboration with the Rescue Mission of Utica.
