This program offers emergency financial support to assist low-income families and individuals facing challenges in covering their heating expenses. It is managed by HeartShare Human Services of New York. Eligibility is based on meeting HEAP income guidelines, and residents of Cortland County should reach out to the Cortland County Community Action Program (CAPCO) to schedule an appointment for application. Additionally, those already receiving HEAP benefits can apply for Care and Share. To initiate the intake process, individuals must call CAPCO to set up an appointment.
