Clifton Springs Hospital And Clinic

This program features a five-part comprehensive psychiatric emergency service designed for residents across four counties, providing assistance to both adults and youth. Psychiatric screenings and assessments are conducted at the Clifton Springs Hospital Emergency Room and/or the Community Comprehensive. It includes both comprehensive and brief assessments, as well as mobile crisis outreach services available seven days a week during daytime and evening hours. Follow-up clinical evaluations are provided for individuals encountered in these situations. The Clifton Springs Hospital also offers extended observation beds for stabilization without requiring inpatient admission, allowing patients to remain for up to 72 hours for assessment. Additionally, crisis residential beds are arranged through the Elmira Psychiatric Center or Rochester Psychiatric Center for those facing mental health and housing crises who require a controlled living environment but do not pose a danger to themselves or others.
