About this resource
The program supervises Protective Services for Adults (PSA) and other adult services facilitated by local social services departments and operations concerning Family-Type Homes for Adults (FTHA). It offers technical support to local district adult services personnel, conducts informal case evaluations, participates in audits, reviews comprehensive service plans, investigates complaints, and creates public education, training, and interagency initiatives.

Who can use this
- Adult Protective Services in New York State assists adults aged 18 and older who, due to physical or mental disabilities, cannot safeguard themselves from abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or other dangers, and lack responsible assistance.
