Housing Supports are intended to enable individuals to live as independently as possible within a community framework by offering personalized services and supports. The residences vary in size and provide different levels of assistance for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across all age groups. These homes and apartments are situated throughout Chemung and Schuyler counties and are designed to maintain a family-like atmosphere, accommodating all-male, all-female, or co-ed arrangements. Direct Support Professionals are available around the clock to help with cooking, housekeeping, and essential life skills. Additionally, the supportive apartment program caters to those living independently who may require occasional financial and staff assistance to maintain their autonomy. A respite program is also available for families caring for a loved one with a developmental disability, offering them much-needed relief.
